The Central Locality Team provides a locality focused model of care and treatment with improved integration with primary care. The Locality Team structure, with embedded treatment pathways allows the provision of seamless, individualised care. Referrals are received directly into the Locality Teams where they are screened, triaged with senior clinicians and allocated to the most appropriate clinicians to undertake the assessment.
Psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder, severe depression, anxiety, personality disorders.
Most referrals to the Central Locality team are received from GPs, but referrals are also made by the Haringey Crisis Response and Home Treatment Teams, as well as other providers of mental health care both in Haringey and other areas.
This service is for adults who are aged 18-65 and are diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychotic depression and other psychiatric disorders.
We provide a number of treatment pathways for people experiencing different mental health problems, including psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder, severe depression and anxiety and personality disorders.
The aims of the Central Locality Team is to provide multi-disciplinary initial assessments offering advice, consultation and brief treatment. We provide short-term interventions of up to 12 weeks, as well as longer care and treatment. We offer improved enablement-focused interventions within treatment pathways, for example goal setting, self-management, developing social networks, employment support, crisis and contingency planning.
