The Camden Early Intervention Service (EIS) is dedicated to the assessment and management of people who have presented to specialist mental health services with a first episode of psychosis.
We are welcoming as we understand that visiting our service for the first time can be daunting. We aim to give people the best chance of recovery after a first episode of psychosis and to reduce the severity of relapses. We also support and educate carers to involve them in as fully as possible in patients' care.
Psychosis
We accept referrals from any agency by email to nlft.camdeneis.duty@nhs.net.
People over the age of 14 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. People over the age of 65 will be considered on a case by case basis.
Your referral to the service will be screened within 24 hours of being received. If you are eligible, you should be offered an initial assessment within 14 working days. Following this, you will take part in an eight-week comprehensive assessment, co-ordinated by a named worker. At the end of the assessment, you will be accepted for a period of up to three years of treatment or signposted to appropriate services.
