We provide a rapid assessment of mental health crises and if necessary, our home treatment team provides an alternative to acute hospital admission.
Referral can be by GP, emergency services, mental health community teams, and social services. Self-referrals are accepted from service users who have used the Crisis Resolution Team in the past.
Our team will provide a needs assessment which determines whether you have the sufficient access to basic supports such as food, shelter and finances before conducting a mental state examination and risk assessment. We have a psychiatrist, social worker, nurses and support workers who work together to help provide the best care possible. The length of time you can expect to be cared for by our team is dependent on your needs. We aim to care for individuals in the least restrictive environment but we may refer you to a Crisis House or hospital if necessary.
