This pathway includes key services such as the Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service and the Health Based Place of Safety. We're looking for experienced healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering urgent and specialist mental health care.
The Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS) model is an innovative crisis assessment model which integrates emergency liaison, alongside a bespoke mental health crisis assessment unit supporting patients experiencing a mental health crisis in a trauma informed therapeutic setting. The service was recognised and received the award for Excellence in Mental Health at the NHS Parliamentary awards in 2022.
This role is for registered Nurses, Social Workers, Occupation Therapists or Psychiatrists.
The Health Based Place of Safety (HBPoS) provides high quality assessment and care for people experiencing an acute mental health crisis, who are detained under a Section 136 or Section 135(1).

This role is only for qualified, registered and experienced Nurses.
Please see the full job descriptions for the HBPoS role and the Liasion role. These roles are both band 6.
