Celebrating our dedicated Healthcare Support Workers

NHS England’s London region annual Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) award ceremony took place on Monday 10 November at Kensington Town Hall. There was a fantastic turnout to celebrate and recognise all the hard work of the teams across London, including in our boroughs.

Recognising NLFT staff

Among our colleagues who received awards were Taiwo Ajose (Coral Ward; pictured below left), who was shortlisted for the HCSW of the Year award.

Vivenne Stevens (Daleham Gardens) and Clare Graham-Ewart (Paprika Ward; pictured below right) were recognised for being the longest-serving HCSWs in London. Both received a certificate from NHS England for their long service. Vivenne has worked in the NHS since 1978 and will be retiring in the next few weeks.

Other members of staff from our Trust also attended, including Marcia Robinson (Lowther Road), Augustine Kekeocha (Sage Ward), Sam Jonah (Nurse Educator), Lucy Ntorinkansah (manager of the Nurse Educator team) and Olimatou Chognan (manager at Daleham Gardens).

The evening was a great way to commemorate the efforts and dedication of support workers, including those at NLFT. With National HCSW Day on Saturday 23 November 2024, we hope our support workers continue to feel acknowledged and celebrated!
