Our Trust is proud to announce that our Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) Leadership and Management Fellows for 2024/25 have graduated.
As the RCPsych website explains, the scheme "aims to develop and support a new cohort of emerging medical leaders within psychiatry".
As a Trust, we have a strong, ongoing commitment to our resident doctors' development. This last year, we have once again funded two psychiatry higher trainees through the Learning and Management Fellowship Scheme (LMFS).
Who are our graduating fellows and what have they worked on?
NLFT Fellows for this year were Ishaac Awatli and Sarene Loganathan, who are pictured above with their graduating cohort. James Dove, Clinical Director for Hospital division, was Sarene's mentor and was pleased to be able to attend their graduation ceremony hosted by the Royal College President, Dr Lade Smith.
Ishaac was mentored by Clinical Director Ed Beveridge and has worked on our important Patient Flow programme, embedding our network navigators across inpatient services.
Sarene has led a project focusing on improving our data recording around ethnicity of those presenting to emergency services and being detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act.
Congratulations, Ishaac and Sarene, and thank you for your hard work in caring for patients and delivering our services.
