Our staff are what make the NHS great and we want to celebrate some of the people who have served the organisation for decades. Some of our long-service staff have shared their stories to mark the 75th birthday of the NHS.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Windrush generation's arrival in the United Kingdom. The Windrush generation's journey and subsequent contributions have shaped the cultural, social, and economic landscape of the NHS and the nation as a whole.

Congratulations to Lynette Kennedy who has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in King Charles III’s first Birthday Honours List. Lynette, who is Nurse Consultant, in Camden Integrated Learning Disability Service (CLDS), worked tirelessly to protect people with learning disabilities throughout the pandemic. 

The Arts Project is celebrating 20 years of connecting community art and mental health with the launch of their Emerald 20 exhibition. 

Selina Aktar, a peer worker and expert-by-experience with the North London Mental Health Partnership, is featuring alongside celebrities in a new exhibition from Rankin and NHS Charities Together, celebrating 75 years of NHS charities.

We are excited to be launching our new Tobacco Dependence Service across our Partnership, providing treatment to smokers who wish to quit and to those smokers who do not want to quit, to abstain from smoking whilst at Partnership sites.

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, to commemorate the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. We celebrated our nurses across the Partnership and the wonderful work they do to support our service users, their families and carers.
