Resident doctors' strike

The British Medical Association has announced that Resident Doctors in England, including those across the Trust, will be going on strike from 7am on Friday 25 June 2025 until 7am on Wednesday 30 July 2025.

As always, our priority is our patients and service users and their safety, making sure we provide the best possible care under the circumstances.

Although we are not cancelling appointments in advance, some routine clinical work will be cancelled and therefore some appointments will need to be re-scheduled. If there are changes to your appointment on one of days during the strike action we will be in touch with you beforehand to re-schedule. However, if you do not hear from us, please attend your appointment as usual.

Please avoid attending A&E if you experience a mental health crisis, and instead use our Crisis Line and Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS) – these services will be staffed during the industrial action. If someone experiences a mental health crisis, they can also call 111 and select the mental health option to speak to mental health professional — here's more information and resources for you.

We appreciate how challenging  strike action can be for everyone and we want to thank you for your help, support, and patience.

We would love to hear from you!
