Daleham Gardens Crisis House

  • This service is also known as Camden Crisis House. We are a community-based alternative to an inpatient facility for those who are in an acute mental health crisis.

    We provide practical and emotional mental health support. Our service is for urgent care and provides you with a maximum stay of two weeks. Our team will provide a comprehensive mental health assessment, medication review, informal counselling type support & group activities. We can support you with planning for return home and follow up community support from a wide range of organisations should you need.

Conditions treated

Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Trauma, Psychosis & Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, Personality Disorders, Bipolar disorders, Acute Stress reactions and those people without a diagnosis who appear to be in a first mental health crisis.

How to access this service

Referrals to Daleham Garden Crisis House are taken by telephone only. Please contact the team on 0203 317 6860.

We accept referrals from GPs, emergency services, mental health community teams, and social services.

We also accept self-referrals.  

Who is this service for?

Residents of Camden or Islington who are in an acute mental health crisis and who have capacity to consent to admission and agree to the ABC contract.

What to expect

  • We are a 12-bed community-based setting for men and for women.
  • People can stay for up to two weeks.
  • Our crisis house is staffed 24 hours a day and provides an alternative to hospital admission.
  • We offer therapeutic support, recovery-focused care, and daily living skills in a homely environment.
  • Daleham Gardens was fully refurbished in 2026 and brings together our Camden crisis house provision into one modern, welcoming space.
  • The crisis house offers a person-centred environment with en-suite bedrooms, a spacious, communal living room (which can be divided for separate activities), a kitchen/dining area, and a garden.
