Haringey Memory Service

Haringey Memory Service provides clinic-based memory assessment of Haringey residents to diagnose and treat Dementia.

The Service is made up of a team of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Memory Practitioner, Admiral Nurse, Dementia Navigator, Mental Health Practitioner and a team of Administrators.

Conditions treated

Treatment and on-going support are offered to individuals with a diagnosis of Dementia. This may include medication where appropriate, Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), advice and signposting.

How to access this service

Referral to our service should be made by a GP or local hospitals also Queens Square Neurology Department – UCLH.

Who is this service for?

People aged over 65 experiencing memory difficulties for the first time and those of any age with an existing Dementia diagnosis.

Following diagnosis Haringey Memory Service provides a variety of post-diagnostic support for both carers and people with dementia including:

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) - A short-term course proven to help with memory difficulties.
Tom’s Club - A social group held in the community for carers and people with dementia to attend together.
Carers Information and Support Programme - An information programme for carers who wish to learn more about Dementia and support available in Haringey.
Admiral Nurse - Specialist nurse who are focussed on the needs of carers.
Dementia Navigator – provides support to patients and carers within the community.
