What to expect
The Crisis Prevention House provides:
- A welcoming, homely, therapeutic, recovery-focused and person-centred environment - with individual bedrooms (with ensuite facilities), a communal kitchen and lounge, and a small garden.
- Support to people experiencing mental health challenges - people who stay in the Crisis Prevention House can live in a safe environment and engage in a wide range of activities which include building life skills, learning about mental health conditions, wellbeing support, therapeutic interventions and creative activities.
During your stay you will maintain your independence by continuing to attend to your own activities of daily living e.g. shopping, cooking, laundry etc.
The Crisis Prevention House Team includes a mix of peer support workers, mental health support workers and clinicians.
The Team aims to support you in your recovery from an understandable mental health challenge so that you can move forward in your life and happily resettle back into your local community.
