The Recovery College co-produces recovery-focused courses (in person and online) for everyone 18+ in Camden and Islington. Our courses are lively, aspirational and interactive – and promote hope that recovery is possible. We aim to empower people in practical ways by teaching self-care tools to improve wellbeing.

Recovery College Balkans Project
The Balkan Advisory Group held its first online meeting on the 8 May 2025 to support the development of a Recovery College pilot in the Balkans. The group brings together lived and professional experience to ensure the project is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and co-produced. We will continue meeting regularly to guide the project, share resources, and support its growth and visibility across the region and UK.
We work using the model of co-production, where professionals from our Trust and community work together with peer tutors, who have lived and professional experience, to co-produce recovery-focused courses. Co-production continues with our students who have their own knowledge, skills and experience to share in courses.
No referral is needed. Everyone aged 18+ who lives or works in Camden or Islington can access our free courses.
NLFT staff can enrol on all courses, but please be aware that all our in-person courses take place in Camden and Islington.
Service users in Camden and Islington are welcome, as are friends, family, other professionals and members of the public. We have also provided our expertise outside London, customers include Changing Lives (Newcastle-upon-Tyne) and Berlin Recovery College, and are now involved in a project to create a Recovery College in the Balkans.
Parent and Carer Support
We welcome adult parents and carers to our courses. However, due to venue and safety constraints, we are currently unable to accommodate infants or children under 18 in our sessions. Please note that the NLFT Perinatal Team provides a range of groups focused on staying well and general wellbeing for those who meet their service criteria. For parents and carers seeking additional support, we offer one-to-one learning guidance conversations (please ask for this on enrolment) and can signpost to appropriate services.
Online enrolment is the easiest way to enrol. If you are unable to enrol online, please contact us to make an appointment to enrol in-person. Students can also enrol at our Open Days and other events.
